Annual McHy Halloween party!

Jake the reaper!!
Addy the beautiful fairy.

Trick or Treating!

Grandpa and Grandpa and all the cousins.

Notice the BYU shirt underneath the cape, even the Grim Reaper is a fan!!!
On Saturday my dad and Terry held the annual McHy Halloween Party!!! This is an event everyone looks forward to every year. There is yummy food, a costume contest, trick or treating and the highlight this year was getting treats at the "spooky house" in the neighborhood and the prizes on the walk home. It was so much fun. Thanks grandpa and grandma. We love you.

...so tired!

This is what happens when you have to drive forever to get home after the fun Halloween party.

Boys will be boys!!!!

Jake and his friends love to wrestle. They beat each other up and love it. It is so funny to watch. This is just a sample of some of the matches that happen in our front yard, the park, living room, anywhere. Who knows maybe we have the next UFC champion in our midst.

THirD gRadE FUN!!!

Jake and his posse!!!

TOTAL CHAOS!!

Last Friday I went with Jake and his class to a play. It was so much fun. The kids were really great. I love Jake's teacher. She is amazing and so patient. I love to help but I always come home exhausted. How do teachers do it all day, every day?

My funny little man!!!

Last night at dinner Jake was teasing his sisters. The teasing went something like this "ha, ha! I get to go to a pack meeting and you don't. Neener, neener, neener (is that really a word, oh well you get the gist of it). " About five minutes later Jake asked me "Mom, what is a pack meeting anyway? " You got to love kids. Doesn't he make a handsome little scout.

NO!!! I'm not ready yet!

I was driving Kendyl to school this morning and this is what we saw. My neighbors had left their sprinklers on and ended up with this. Their whole yard was covered in ice but by the time I went back for a picture, this was the best I could get. I knew it was cold this morning but not that cold. Is winter just around the corner? Anybody who knows me knows that I hate to be cold. I am not ready. We had the best summer ever. I miss the pool already and can't wait for next year.

Ingredients for the fun FHE!

Ingredients for a fun family home evening, a bike and lots of space to wrestle and you will end up with tired kids and a happy mom and dad. Monday night we decided to do something different for Family Home Evening. We went for a walk/ride on the golf course. It was so fun. We have lived here for fifteen months and have done this maybe twice. We definitely need to do it more often. I love spending time with my hubby and kids.

More HeE hAw!

Yes, if you are wondering that is corn. The kids loved burying each other and being buried. I am still finding corn in places, in the washer, pockets. ha! hA!

More pictures of Hee Haw! Thanks for the memories.

HeE hAW!

On Monday the kids didn't have school so my good friend Leigh and I took the kids to Hee Haw! We had so much fun. There were slides, hay rides, spook alleys, games, pumpkin patches, all sorts of fun things to do. You can tell it was a hit because we were there for almost four hours, definitely worth it.

Halloween crazy fun!

The girls!

The boys, except for one?

The witch and the soccer fan.

I don't know if I have said this before but we live in the best neighborhood ever. We have made so many good friends. Last weekend my girlfriends MeLisa and Jodi threw the funnest Halloween party I have ever been to. Dean couldn't go but he did show up at the end for a few minutes. He had bought Real soccer tickets for him the Jake and Kendyl two months ago and of course, it was the same night. I went with my girlfriend Leigh and Laila, who were also husbandless. We missed our men but it was so much fun. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I can't wait for next year. I'm already planning my costume. Thanks for the laughs. I love you guys!

Merry Christmas?

I opened my door last week and much to my wondering eyes did appear but a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeers. Just kidding. It's really not Christmas in October. It was a stake Halloween dance and some of Dean's young men stopped by to trick or treat. They are so funny. I love the costumes. I really want to know if Dean can borrow the nerd costume, especially the helmet. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Kendyl for President?

Kendyl came home last week with an announcement. She said she was running for 8th grade president. I asked her what it entailed. She said she wasn't sure, she just thought it would be fun. That is one of the many things I love about her, she loves to get involved and is crazy enough for the job. She worked all weekend on her posters and pins. These are the end results. She called me from school today to tell me she made it. Kendyl is 8th grade class President for her school. WOW!!! She is amazing and has so many good qualities. I know she will do a great job. I want to be just like her when I grow up.

MORE SOCCER

Last Saturday was Kendyl's last fall season game. They played La Roca. La Roca is the team that beat them at the last second last year to kick them out of the state finals so this game was big. WE WON!!! We beat them one to zero. It was a very exciting game. There were many yellow cards, including Kendyl. I know she might look really nice but don't make her mad on the soccer field. She will make you pay. I am so proud of these girls. GO USA!!!

Grandpa and Grandma's pumpkin party

My dad and Terry are such fun grandparents. Every year before Halloween they hold a pumpkin breakfast for all the grandkids. We get a yummy breakfast and the kids get to pick out their own pumpkins. It is so much fun. Thanks dad and Terry.

Baby Bode

YEAH!!! My sister Brooke and her husband Steve had their beautiful baby boy. His name is Bode Stephen Vincent. I am so proud of her. He is very cute. As much as I loved to hold him and didn't want to give him back, I realized I still don't want one. That is a good sign right.

FAMILY

Claire, Karlie, Addy and Kendyl

My sisters Marnie, Brooke and my dad.

Keaton and Jake.

My sister Brooke is getting ready to have a baby and so we decided to have a last hurrah and go to our favorite place, McDonald's for lunch. I even checked Jake and Kendyl out of school to come. The kids always have a great time and the adults do too.

Confessions of a soccer mom...

Are we crazy or what? The things we do for our children. We love soccer. Both Jake and Kendyl play soccer. Jake plays for the Highland Sting and Kendyl plays for USA. Jake practices in Highland and Kendyl practices in West Jordan. It has been a busy summer and fall for our family. This last weekend Jake has been playing in the President's Cup. He has been so excited. Kendyl is still finishing fall soccer and has one game left. Saturday they both had a game, of course at opposite ends of the valley and it poured rain the whole day. It was a day full of hot chocolate, umbrellas and fun. All the driving around, money and time are all worth it when you see the smiles on their face when they are doing something that they love but would it be bad of me to admit I'm kind of excited for their last game....
